English Premier League side Chelsea have continued to signal their interest in letting go of Brazilian defender Emerson Palmieri this summer and are reportedly waiting for a befitting offer to come in for him before they sanction his sale. The Blues have already deemed him surplus to requirements and have long been looking for interested clubs who are willing to sign him. Manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly content with current first-choice left-back Ben Chilwell and would call on Marcos Alonso who is the next on the queue based on preference should he want to make a change.
Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan have also shown a sign of interest in the defender and were rumored to be ready to make a bid for him this summer but with Antonio leaving his role as manager of the club, that may not be happening anymore. Chelsea will reportedly lose to offers of at least £10 million as they believe the fee is enough to convince them to sell Emerson this summer.
Should Emerson leave the club, Alonso could also be allowed to leave as Tuchel wants to reshuffle his squad. The German manager is expected to sign another left-back if he allows both Emerson and Alonso to walk through the exit door at Stamford Bridge this summer in a bid to have them replaced ahead of next season before the 2021-22 campaign begins.
