Chelsea will look to continue their fine start to the season when they take on Aston Villa on Saturday in the Premier League. The Blues have played three Premier League games so far this campaign and have managed to notch up two wins and a draw. They enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 opening say victory at Stamford Bridge against Crystal Palace and since then they kept building their confidence. After their first game of the season, they then traveled to the Emirates Stadium to face a currently out-of-form Arsenal side and the Blues came out on top in the tie after securing a 2-0 win thanks to a debut goal from striker Romelu Lukaku and a fine strike from right-back Reece James.
Their next game would see them come against a determined Liverpool side and it was a stalemate between the two league crown contenders. Both teams could not find a winner as they ended up playing out a 1-1 draw at Anfield. Chsea defender Reece James picked up a red card and was sent off following a foul in the box and Chelsea had to hold off a resilient Liverpool side, ending the match in a draw.
Thomas Tuchel will be looking to assemble a squad full of strong players and will definitely want to pick up all the three points as he wants to continue a smooth ride towards the Premier League title. Aston Villa manager Dean Smith will also want to pick maximum points even though it will be slightly difficult. He will want to prove that he made the right choices in the summer in terms of the players that he signed and he will want to see his side shock the Blues on Saturday evening in their crunch cracker.
Here’s how Chelsea could line up against Aston Villa;
Mendy, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, James, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Werner, Lukaku, Havertz
